General Discussion / Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRYAN!

I'd like to take this chance to wish Bryan a very happy birthday for 2012, because chances are he'll start asking me if I know when it is in a couple weeks anyway.

That fucking blows.  I'm sorry Lisa.  If you need to talk, feel free to hit me up.  It's one thing to end up unemployed because you leave a job on your own terms, but getting laid off sucks huge monkey balls.    :(

It sucks to lose a job, especially one you've been at for a while.  No job is safe; doesn't matter what country you live in.  I've heard that about 50 K Marts and Sears are closing throughout the States.  Which pretty much means the only K Mart in Billings will pretty much die this year or next year.  (Hopefully I'll be off that sinking ship when that happens.)

Hopefully you'll have a backup plan before NCO closes on the 30th of March.

Yesterday, while at work, they pulled us all off the phones to tell us some lovely news. As Of March 30th, the site is closing thanks to Sprint pulling their contract to outsource somewhere else instead. Not financially viable to keep the site open for one contract to Qwest/Centurylink which employs about 230 people right now.

We're all being laid off. All 450 of us in the site.

Upside is that we'll be getting severance pay (5.17 weeks worth for me) which amounts to about $2,326.50. I'll also be eligible for unemployment after that 5 week waiting period... but still, this is uber shitty.

It's HOW. There mostly is no plots. It's 10 "rps" that boil down to genitalia and gay jokes.

The only way I'd write 10 RPs is doing one a day for ten days.  That's pretty much what I did when I handled in DWO:  3 RP limit, segged and wrote matches.  I was a workhorse back in.  Now, not so much.

....WHat is there even to write about for ten RP's in one show?  Without like, giving an entire plot away in one week?  Seriously, what?

10 RP's for the fucking show that was like, during Christmas break?  Sure, maybe the high school kids who have no lives could have tossed out 10 a piece, but what about people who have lives, jobs, kids and families??  Whether Lee believed it or not, Christmas is a busy time of year.

So that's why you were pissed off about HOW.  In all honesty, I think you should've left sooner before any shit hit the fan.  And from what I see, you didn't cheat.  Lee isn't exactly the smartest man on the planet when it comes to running a fed.  I don't understand how he has a roster because of the insipid rp limits he has there.  You're better off not being there anyway.
